Our client in Winston-Salem, a medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Medical Writer to add to their team! This permanent, Direct Hire Opportunity offers a competitive salary, good benefits package, and relocation assistance is offered upon hire. This position has a 1st shift working schedule (8: 00am- 5: 00pm, Monday - Friday). The main responsibilities for the medical writer is to write clinical evidence reports for regulatory submissions for medical devices. Duties also include providing interpretation and analysis of clinical and non-clinical data pertinent to scientific communications projects. Qualified candidates will have previous medical writing experience, excellent grammar and editorial skills, and knowledgeable of statistics and clinical data. Essential Functions and Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive searches of published medical literature
- Write clear and effective documents; Communicate clearly and concisely in both spoken and written form
- Have or obtain sufficient knowledge of the research topic, be able to understand the research design and data to interpret and present it to readers
- Ability to write at a level appropriate to the target audience
- Identify relationships between ideas, then organize them into logical sequence
- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards, and adhere to safety requirements
- Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills
- Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
- Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications/Education Requirements:
- Masters, MD, or PhD in a scientific or an engineering discipline or have equivalent regulatory/writing experience
- Experience with literature searches and manuscript or thesis preparation
- Knowledge of statistics and their application to the interpretation and presentation of clinical data
