Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Make certain network-related security is properly configured, including all network devices, access controls, permissions, encryption types, and new security technologies
- Ensure the Bank is using modern information security resources and that these measures are appropriately implemented, administered, maintained, and changed in response to business conditions
- Ensure systems are secure by testing configurations, implementing changes, researching new techniques, and keeping systems up to date with security patches, updates, and document changes
- Keep client end-point security posture to the highest standard about regulation and compliance
- Support and implement any third-party security assessments performed against any technology
- Maintain and manage disaster recovery technologies, testing, and document procedures. Responsible for all data backups, regardless of backup technology, and data replication for bank disaster recovery
- Provide help desk support to end-users for client operating systems, office products, third-party software, and server technologies
- Provide network connectivity support and troubleshoot all client-level, branch-level, private circuits, wireless, and Internet-level users and systems
- Provide support for all client hardware/software problems for internal teammates and any cabling required for any system
- Investigate, compile, and document various materials for training and assist with training/workshop
- Assist with cyber security practices and involvement with the Bank's security awareness program
- Inform teammates of new system changes due to upgrades, functionality, and procedures that impact their daily work
- Record, track, correspond, and document resolutions of user issues by means of reporting and case management software
- Troubleshoot and/or debug network-related problems\outages
- Document any network or PC-related functions and provide any hardware-related support, as needed
- Investigate and record reported incidents and unusual circumstances and document investigative and procedural steps with results
- Provide up-to-date procedural documentation along with any relevant diagrams that relate to job function and technology
- Communicate with software vendors regarding application errors, enhancements, and ticket\case management
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new banking software for new job functionality, increased bank productivity and better bank services to clients and end-users
- Perform special projects, from commencement to completion, including research, vendor contact, documentation, equipment installation, and other duties as assigned to optimize department efficiency
- Plan and implement installation of new programs
- Analyze present systems to evaluate future systems needed for replacement, supporting technologies, newer technologies, and cost-efficiency
- Monitor network stability, health, and assist in troubleshooting any Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) issues
- Understand and maintain user/computer procedures and network accounts/groups with a focus on overall security
- Assist in supporting the Bank’s Local Area and Wide Area networks hardware, firmware, and software systems
- Plan, secure, test, and maintain routers, switches, and firewall communication technologies. Ensure configurations are optimal and efficient
- Ensure systems are performing optimally (email, SAN, LAN, WAN, Internet, Wireless, Batch processes) through monitoring, reporting, and disseminating real-time alerts
- Provide support for telecommunications
- Regularly attend work at Piedmont's place of business during regular business hours
- Cross train and back-up others, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 yr. College diploma or equivalent work experience
- Two to five years related experience
- Must be able to identify issues with application of the subject
-Accuracy/Attention to detail, Collaboration/Teamwork, and Communication including verbal, written, listening, face-to-face, telephone, or email
- Able to handle conflict management, Interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, Office machine operation
- Must have a high level of knowledge of the following subjects: Client operating systems such as Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11, Server operating systems such as Microsoft Server and any Linux-variant system
- Familiar Local Area Networks and Wide Area Networks with technologies from Microsoft, Palo Alto, and Cisco networking
- TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Stateful Firewall technologies
- Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory and Group Policies
- Must be able to train, coach, and answer questions from those at lower mastery levels around: Encryption methods such as AES, DES, and Certificate Authorities, reporting from IBM Qradar, Netwrix, and Ivanti Security Controls, Cisco technologies for all router
- Must be able to identify issues with application of the following subjects, develop solutions, and implement improvements: Microsoft Exchange email technologies and SMTP, Cisco Secure Email Gateway email, and Barracuda email archive system. Sharp Business printer solutions, Kyocera, HP, and PaperCut software
