Our client in High Point, a furniture manufacture, is seeking an Office Assistant to add to their team! This Temp to Hire opportunity offers a pay rate of $13.00 per hour, and has a 1st shift working schedule (6: 30am- 3: 15pm). The Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting in resolving issues in the plant, providing inventory and pricing information, and preparing and maintaining spreadsheets/databases and archiving documentation. The office assistant will work closely with all facets of the plant positions and will be the assistant to the plant manager. Qualified candidates will have strong clerical skills, comfortable using Microsoft Excel, and previous experience working in a wareshouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily correspondences and warehouse projects
- Will work closely with plant manager to supervise processes and staff to meet plant production goals on time
- Assist the plant manager with managing plant activities and coordinating employees
- Complete weekly and monthly reports on a variety of projects
- Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information
- Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. As needed
- Help prepare reports, presentations, and data
- Manage and maintain files, records, and correspondence for meetings
- Update staff calendars and organize schedules
- Oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers; Purchase, track, and invoice office supplies for each department
- Maintaining order within the office by organizing both electronic and paper documents, and keep associate roster updated

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a plant environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience handling office responsibilities, experience in customer service, or related field
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
