Job Description
The Resource is hiring Painters for our client, a major manufacturer in the construction industry, located in Rural Hall, NC! This is a Temp-to- hire opportunity that offers a starting pay rate of $18.00-$27.00 per hour (depending on experience) and has a 1st shift schedule of 7:00- 3:30pm. The painters would be responsible for sanding equipment, applying body fillers, operating overhead fillers, and unloading materials. Ideal candidates for this role should have experience in both paint and bodywork preferably in the automotive or similar industry. Responsibilities:
- Apply body fillers, glazing putty, primer, and other paint preparation materials as required
- Occasionally utilize sanding equipment such as DA sanders, grinders, and polishers for surface preparation
- Operate jib cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts for loading and unloading materials
- Identify and address quality issues to maintain high standards
- Operate and maintain the paint system and all related components
- Handle hazardous waste materials properly and ensure appropriate disposal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the assigned work area daily
Qualifications:
- Familiarity and experience with body fillers, primers, and paints, preferably in an automotive or similar environment
- Vocational school or on-the-job training within the auto body field or similar industry
- Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable work experience in both paint and bodywork
- Ability to meet safety, quality, and production requirements with minimal training
- Must be conformable occasionally lifting up to 50lbs,
- Regular reaching with arms extended, bending to pick up and place parts on the floor, pulling suspended loads by hand during the use of jib crane, and regular twisting and turning at the waist
