Job Description

Job Title: Saw Operator - Foam Manufacturing

We are hiring for our Client, a leader in foam manufacturing technology, specializing in the design and production of high-performance foams. Their team of subject matter experts drives innovation in the foam industry to meet the highest quality standards. We are currently seeking a skilled Saw Operator with experience in foam products for a position within their chemical conversion manufacturing environment. This is a manufacturing operation with the potential to transition into full-time employment after 30 days.

Essential Functions:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize provided safety equipment as required.
  • Comply with ISO 9001 standards and follow the Quality Policy. Ensure work instructions and procedures are strictly followed.
  • Maintain and monitor TDI emissions at the cut-off saw for round and flat block foam lines.
  • Set up machinery and prepare for production runs.
  • Clean saws and ensure proper functionality, operating the saw in both manual and automatic modes.
  • Safely cut and remove scrap foam and sample foam products.
  • Accurately measure and record foam dimensions using precision measuring tools.
  • Monitor finished foam products for defects and address issues accordingly.
  • Assign accurate lot numbers to foam products and generate proper labeling for round and flat buns.
  • Manually remove scrap and sample foam while the production line is moving.
  • Operate forklifts to safely move scrap foam within the plant.
  • Follow start-up and shutdown procedures for foam line tunnel operations.
  • Must be flexible and available to work 12-hour shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in foam manufacturing or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure production targets are met.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to work in varying shifts, including 12-hour shifts when required.
