Job Description
The Resource is hiring Press Break Operators for our client, a metal fabrication company, located in Welcome, NC. This is a contract opportunity that has openings on 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift and offers a pay rate of 18.21-20.21 (depending on shift). Operators are responsible for manufacturing tools, metal, and other pieces of equipment using a press brake. Press brakes, or brake presses, are "computer numeric controlled" (CNC) machine tools designed to make punches, bends, and cuts into sheet or plate material, particularly sheet metal. Ideal candidates for this role should have previous experience as a Press break operator and able to read blueprints and drawings. Responsibilities:
- Setup and document tooling and safe practices for Press Brake operations
- Operate machine to manufacture, metal, and other pieces of equipment using a press brake
- Responsible for operation, proving programs, operating controls, setting all machine functions, deburring and inspection of parts
- Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions
- Detect equipment malfunctions
- Maintain accurate parts on routine repetitive jobs
- During operations maintain cleanliness of the machine
- Complete in process checks to maintain all required tolerances and quality
- Complete all required safety procedures prior to and during operations
- Communicates with production control, quality and other personnel to resolve machining or quality issues
