The Resource is seeking an experienced Process Technician for our client, a leading plastic injection molding company, located in Clemmons, NC! This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a competitive salary and has a 3rd shift schedule. The Process Technician is responsible for maintaining the manufacturing floor, performing mold changes, and material handling. The Process Technician will also follow all procedures and work instructions to achieve optimal productivity. Responsibilities:
- Performs mold changes and EOAT setup/verification
- Performs set-up of all auxiliary equipment related to the process
- Responsible for ensuring line clearances are completed correctly
- Ensures safety checks are performed and that production floor is maintained
- Assists with preventative machine maintenance
- Responsible for ensuring the correct materials/colorants are used and maintain sufficient levels
- Perform safety checks, cleaning of molds, greasing and other various maintenance tasks
- Ensures visual and functional inspections of molded parts are completed and conformance is achieved
- Maintain controlled parameter check logs, completes deviation request if required
- Assists with packing parts according to written instructions and breaks for molding operator as needed
- Operate industrial equipment such as pallet jacks
- Forklift certification required
- Stops production if there is a problem with the product, personnel, safety or potential damage to the equipment and/or tool and process
- Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
- Understand and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Support initiatives throughout the facility, ensuring safety, housekeeping and quality standards are maintained
- Proactively participate in training, development and safety events focusing on improving processes.
Qualifications:
- Education equivalent to a high school diploma and one year of manufacturing experience
- Advanced Scientific molding training recommended
- Minimum 6 months molding experience
- Strong attention to detail is imperative
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy
- Must have knowledge of how to operate a computer
- Successful completion of a background check
- Read, write and understand the English language
- Crane operation certification required
