The Resource is hiring a Production Planner for our client, a major apparel manufacturing company and sales and marketing firm, located in Winston-Salem, NC! This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a salary range of $80,000-$85,000 annually (depending on experience). The Production Planner would be responsible for collaborating with internal cross functional teams and external manufacturing facilities to execute production requirements timely within the company’s financial sales and inventory goals. Responsibilities: 
- Planning and scheduling the company’s production purchase orders for assigned Brands, to support Sales and Inventory expectations.  The company’s account demand covers a wide range of retail channels and order types:  replenishment, make-to-order, direct ship are a few examples. 
- Managing internal timeline requirements with overseas factories’ lead-times to ensure production is placed and delivered timely and cost effectively.
- Works directly with Forecast Team to discuss market and sales changes that impact production flow, anticipate changes required to minimize issues, and manage solutions.
- Works directly with Sourcing Team to understand manufacturing partners capabilities and advise requirement needs to the team to support those facilities.
- Works closely with Packaging Team to ensure factories have all necessary packaging instructions for production purchases that have been issued.  Helps to manage and resolve any issues to meet customer’s needs.
- Works closely with DC Team on incoming production timing, packaging/quality issues to resolve with cross functional teams.  Issues and manages work orders to repurpose excess/discontinued inventory.
- Manage overall supply system maintenance needs monthly for planning department.
Issue and conduct various analysis and/or reporting for all cross functional teams within company

Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree
- 4-6 years related experience and knowledge of US Retail environment.
- 5+ years of experience managing production for Amazon is preferable.
- Experience and technical knowledge of supply chain software.
- Analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Efficiency in spreadsheet-based programs
- Self-starter and motivated
- Computer knowledge – proficient
