Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner / Production Manager to collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners to execute production requirements on time and within company sales, inventory, and financial goals. This role supports a diverse U.S. retail environment and plays a critical part in managing overseas production, forecasting, sourcing, packaging, and distribution coordination.
The ideal candidate brings strong cut-and-sew and sock production experience, deep knowledge of retail supply chains, and the ability to manage complex production timelines across multiple brands and sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule production purchase orders for assigned brands to support sales and inventory expectations
- Manage demand across multiple retail order types, including:
- Replenishment
- Make-to-order
- Direct-to-ship
- Coordinate internal production timelines with overseas factory lead times to ensure timely and cost?effective delivery
- Partner with the Forecast Team to evaluate market and sales changes impacting production flow
- Anticipate production shifts and implement solutions to minimize supply disruptions
- Collaborate with the Sourcing Team to understand manufacturing partner capabilities and communicate production requirements
- Work closely with the Packaging Team to ensure factories receive accurate packaging instructions
- Resolve packaging, labeling, and compliance issues to meet customer and retailer requirements
- Partner with the Distribution Center (DC) Team on inbound production timing, quality issues, and packaging concerns
- Issue and manage work orders to repurpose excess or discontinued inventory
- Maintain and manage supply system data and planning tools on a monthly basis
- Prepare and deliver analysis, reports, and production metrics for cross-functional teams
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS)
- Cut-and-sew manufacturing experience required
- Sock production experience required
- 4–6 years of related production planning or manufacturing experience
- Strong understanding of the U.S. retail environment
- Experience with supply chain and production planning software
- 5+ years managing production for Amazon
- Experience working with overseas factories
- Apparel, textile, or consumer goods manufacturing background
- Direct impact on production execution, inventory health, and customer fulfillment
