A national security printing company is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will provide for the manufacture of products that meet all customer specifications, including delivery requirements at manufacturing rates that meet cost standards and ensure the company meets its profitability targets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise employees and provide for work to be performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), work instructions, and company policies.
- Monitor operation of manufacturing equipment (printing, finishing) for optimal performance and make immediate notification of deficiencies and failures.
- Utilize ERP system (Seradex) and Quality Management System (Intelex) to provide the required performance and quality data.
- Train employees to produce products conforming to customer specifications and meeting production schedule while minimizing overtime
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards
- Meet objectives for waste reduction
- Coordinate with other departments, including Warehouse, Distribution Center, and Production Control/Purchasing to ensure availability of raw materials and work-in-process (WIP) in accordance with bill-of-materials (BOM).
- Ensures that inventory is accounted and listed accurately
- High School Diploma/GED REQUIRED
- Bachelors degree/some college preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant printing experience and/or manufacturing experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to walk, stand, bend and stoop for up to 12 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
