Job Summary
The Building Diagnostics Technician supports the VP of CM & Building Diagnostics by performing building inspections, testing, and property condition assessments for commercial and industrial facilities. This role involves field inspections, reporting, project coordination, and use of diagnostic tools including drone and thermographic equipment.

Job Summary
The Building Diagnostics Technician supports the VP of CM & Building Diagnostics by performing building inspections, testing, and property condition assessments for commercial and industrial facilities. This role involves field inspections, reporting, project coordination, and use of diagnostic tools including drone and thermographic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Property Condition Assessments (PCA) and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Conduct building envelope, window leakage, roofing, and exterior system inspections
- Evaluate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Identify safety, security, and maintenance issues
- Operate UAS/drone equipment for aerial photography and thermographic diagnostics
- Assess site work including paving, concrete, and landscaping
- Maintain inspection documentation and project files
- Assist with presentations, reports, and proposal support
- Coordinate project tasks, meetings, and client communications
- Support and train junior staff as needed
- Associate degree in Engineering or Architecture, or High School Diploma with 3–5 years of related experience
- Minimum 3+ years in engineering, construction, diagnostics, or project administration
- FAA Remote Pilot Certification preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Experience with mechanical diagnostic tools and basic hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on ladders, roofs, and lifts
- Frequent standing, walking, crouching, and working in industrial environments
- Combination of office and jobsite work with moderate to loud noise levels
