We' re seeking a Purchasing Clerk for our foodservice equipment & supplies client in Winston-Salem! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity offering a pay range of $14.00-16.00 depending on experience, and an 8: 00am-5: 00pm working schedule. The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for purchasing equipment, parts, and supplies to support the needs of restaurant and commercial kitchen customers, as well as tracking and communicating inward movement of these products for the Company. The ideal candidate will have previous Purchasing experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and a Bachelor' s Degree in a Business related field is preferred. Job Functions:
- Work with Sales personnel to determine purchasing needs
- Prepare and process purchase orders for supplies and equipment
- Analyze order volume and timing to meet various purchasing agreements
- Place orders with suppliers/vendors and ensure all documentation is in order, with terms and conditions being clear
- Communicate continually with vendors to maintain information including current pricing and product information
- Ensure parts and materials are bought at specified pricing and delivered within required time-frames
- Participate in annual physical inventory count
- Work closely with Distribution, Sales, Sales Support, Finance & Accounting, and Leadership

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates or Bachelor s degree in a Business related field is preferred
- At least 2-years of experience in Purchasing
- Experience in Purchasing/Procurement in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, Word and Excel
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, with s trong attention to detail, and organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work independently with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent verbal communication skills and phone etiquette
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
- Experience working with ERP systems (JD Edwards is preferred)
