We' re seeking a Quality Control Worker for our metal fabrication client in Welcome! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a 1st shift working schedule (7: 00am-3: 30pm) and a pay rate of $12.00 per hour! This role will be within the Fabrication Department, and qualified candidates will have quality experience, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and use measuring tools. Responsibilities will include testing and inspecting products, assessing defect, and compiling data. Responsibilities:
- Test and inspect product, and compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of product
- Assess defects and malfunctions and make recommendations for improvement to Engineering and Management
- Work closely with Production staff and Manufacturing Engineering to improve test and inspection methods and to resolve problems of manufacturing assembly and/or process nature
- Sign all required test and inspection documents for record and approval for shipment
- Set up and maintain test and inspection equipment
- Perform quality inspection transactions on JD Edwards system
- Participate in weekly quality feedback meetings and material review board
- Willing and able to work in accordance with Lean methods and practices
- Willing to participate in continual training and willing to assist in the training of other employees

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent related experience
- Previous Quality Control experience
- Basic Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving
- Ability to use standard metrology equipment (Micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read Basic Electrical and Mechanical drawings
- Good computer skills, and experience with Windows Computer Applications
- Must have good written/verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work with close tolerances
- SPC knowledge is desirable
