We' re seeking a Quality Coordinator for our client, a direct manufacturer of athletic equipment, located in Salisbury, NC! The Quality Coordinator is skilled in executing all actions within the Quality Assurance department. They will be consulted to assist in root cause investigations determining the cause(s) and action(s) to prevent recurrence when a quality issue occurs. This role will review daily production orders to coordinate the approval and release of quality product to meet the customer s specs and on-time request/promise dates. Responsibilities include the coordination of QA inspections, release, and certification processes to ensure compliance, and will be involved in continuous improvement projects. Responsibilities:
- Use working knowledge of inspection techniques to determine most accurate method of comparing measurements of parts to drawings/blueprints/specifications for conformance of fit, form, and function
- Cover production floor daily, signing 1st approvals and verifying that product being manufactured meets specs
- Inspect product (receiving, in-process, and finished goods) to established procedures and specifications, and report variances to Production Supervision
- Ensure proper calibration of equipment, gauges, and measuring instruments
- Set up and maintain quality lab and all testing equipment in compliance to company standards
- Conduct testing and provide test results on materials and products, and produce reports for review and analysis
- Assist in the inspection, investigation, disposition of Nonconforming Material Reports (NMR), and use 5D system for tracking and reporting for final disposition
- Manage samples and color standards for materials and products for operations, sales, and customer needs
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects, and in the construction and/or revision of SOPs
- Report safety hazards observed to Safety Committee and Operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 4 years of previous experience in a Manufacturing Environment (ISO or GMP Environment)
- 2-4 years of Quality Technician experience is preferred
- Ability to recognize issues and provide solutions for quick resolution without compromise to product quality and employee safety
- Skilled in documentation preparation and creation (SOPs, etc.)
- Strong ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, drawings or blueprints
- Communicate effectively both in written and verbal as well as listen to others while treating others with respect
- Must have proficiency with word and spreadsheet applications and ERP computer operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing methods/processes for quality solutions is desired
- Be a strategic thinker, with excellent interactive skills, and a team developer capable of fostering a positive team environment

- Initiative, and comfortable with independent decision making
- Ability to be highly attentive to detail and consistency
- Ability to operate testing machines and gauges
