Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for planning and conducting activities related to quality assurance for manufacturing processes, materials, and products. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience with supplier quality management, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality assurance systems and process controls.
- Review design documentation for compliance with quality standards.
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to analyze process stability.
- Approve vendor quality data and corrective action reports.
- Document and report quality assurance activities in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with suppliers to create and implement corrective action plans.
- Conduct supplier audits and support process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in engineering change meetings and manage first article processes.
- Communicate significant quality issues and recommend process improvements.
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- BS or AS degree in a relevant field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Proficient in GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience with structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D).
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers.
