We're now hiring a Quality Auditor for our client, a metal fabrication company in Welcome, NC! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with a 3rd shift schedule (10:30pm-7:00am) and offers a pay rate of $17.95 per hour. This is a hands-on inspection position which requires extensive expertise with all standard quality and measurement tools. Candidates must have a background in ISO quality procedures, documentation and an absolute commitment to the quality process. If you are a self-starter, dependable, and have great work ethic and good organizational skills, you may be a great fit for this position. Responsibilities:
- Test and inspect product, compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of product
- Assess defects and malfunctions and make recommendations for improvement to Engineering and Management
- Work closely with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to improve test and inspection methods, and to resolve problems
- Sign all required test and inspection documents for record and approval for shipment
- Set up and maintain test and inspection equipment
- Perform quality inspection transactions
- Participate in weekly quality feedback meetings and material review board
- Willing and able to work in accordance with Lean methods and practices
- Willing to participate in continual training
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous quality experience is required
- Basic Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards
- Excellent attention to detail and problem solving
- Ability to use standard metrology equipment (Micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read Basic Electrical and Mechanical drawings
- Good computer skills, Experience with Windows
- Must have good written/verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work with close tolerances
- SPC knowledge is desirable
- A team player and willingness to work overtime when requested
