About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Supervisor (SSC) to lead our quality operations on the designated shift. This role involves supervising a team of Quality Stamp Associates, managing quality checks, overseeing rework processes, and maintaining compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement across the shift, ensuring that quality objectives are met in an efficient and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Shift Quality Oversight
- Conduct and supervise quality checks throughout the stamping production process to ensure all products meet established specifications.
- Supervise rework processes as necessary to maintain product quality and ensure all deviations from quality standards are addressed promptly.
- Complete shift sign-offs and documentation, noting any deviations or quality issues for follow-up and resolution.
- Monitor production output to maintain alignment with quality standards and customer expectations.
- Provide daily leadership, guidance, and support to the Quality Stamp team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate production goals, quality expectations, safety reminders, and any quality-related issues.
- Encourage open communication within the team to promote collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate customer quality sign-off processes during shift operations, ensuring all customer specifications are met.
- Communicate customer feedback and specific quality requirements to the team to ensure alignment with customer expectations.
- Work closely with customers to address quality concerns and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality protocols to maintain consistent product quality.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of quality checks, shift sign-offs, and any corrective actions taken during the shift.
- Comply with record retention policies and regulatory requirements to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for quality improvements, collaborating with management to implement effective process changes.
- Participate in quality improvement projects, bringing insights from shift operations to enhance overall production quality and efficiency.
- Analyze data from quality checks and customer feedback to identify trends and suggest preventive actions to avoid recurring issues.
- Oversee equipment calibration management, ensuring all required calibrations are performed according to schedule.
- Maintain SOPs and procedures for calibration management, ensuring compliance and alignment with quality standards.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, production processes, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members toward achieving quality goals.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, data analysis, and documentation practices.
- Detail-Oriented: Consistently thorough in quality checks, documentation, and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Proactive Leader: Anticipates potential quality issues and takes immediate corrective action to maintain production efficiency and product quality.
