Job Description

The Resource is seeking a Retail Shipping Clerk for our client, for our client, a leading textile distributor, located in Elkin, NC! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, and has  a 1st shift schedule (8:00am-4:30pm). The Retail Shipping Clerk would be responsible for assisting and managing the flow of retail orders through open order reports and planning to achieve on-time shipping. Ideal candidates for this role should have prior experience in a shipping role have experience using inventory programs such as Orcale or Worldwide Ship. Responsibilities: 
- Help manage the flow of retail orders through open order reports and planning to achieve on-time shipping
- Create tasks for retail pickers to complete
- Knowledge of inventory programs such as Orcale or Worldwide Ship
- Work closely with pickers on picking, staging, and prepping for shipment
- Assist the retail shipping lead role through various means of releasing, routing, scheduling, and shipping orders
- Work closely with the retail customer service team by providing them updates and answering any inquiries they may have
- Become familiar with routing guides and how to read and utilize them?
- Guide the picking teams on picking tasks from start to finish
- Help pick and stage orders as needed
- Communicate needs to finishing line/special projects
- Communicate progress of daily goals and achievements to supervisor
- Any other duties assigned by manager
