We' re now hiring Machine Set Up Operators/Technicians for our client, Hayward Industries in Clemmons, NC! These are Temp-to-Hire opportunities with an excellent pay rate plus a shift premium, and the potential for an increase based on experience level. Candidates must be flexible to work on all shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd) as needed, and extensive on-the-job training will be provided, working with Set-Up Operators on all shifts while in training. The ideal candidate will be someone with mechanical aptitude, who is interested and willing to grow on the career ladder into different positions within the company. The Set-Up Operator is responsible for performing molding start-up operations on injection molding machinery, to include installing molds, starting up the machine, performing first piece inspection and monitoring production. Responsibilities:
- Operate automatic and semi-automatic injection molding machinery and secondary equipment as directed
- Read Kan Ban boards and Production Schedules to determine job orders to be run
- Install molds, process, troubleshoot, and start up molding machines, as well as secondary equipment as required in order to produce quality parts
- Perform first piece inspection of parts
- Qualify parts in accordance with departmental procedures and Quality Assurance Standards, which includes using measuring devices and gauges
- Adhere to all Company and Departmental Safety Policies, including identifying and striving for continuous Safety improvements
- Maintain complete organization of production cell as well as housekeeping of machinery and work area

Qualifications:
- One-year certificate from college or technical training in machine setup is preferred
- Work experience in plastics and/or injection molding environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience in hydraulics or programmable logic controls is a plus
- Comfortable occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable occasionally working near moving mechanical parts and exposure to extreme heat
- Ability to pass a Mechanical aptitude test before employment
- MUST be flexible to work on all shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd) as needed
- Interested and willing to growth on the career ladder within the company
