What You’ll Do:
- Fabricate HVAC ductwork, fittings, and custom sheet metal parts by interpreting blueprints and work orders
- Measure, cut, form, assemble, and finish galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using fabrication tools
- Operate machinery including plasma cutters, shears, brakes, rollers, notchers, punches, and more
- Perform layout, riveting, fastening, spot welding, sealing, and assembly to ensure precise fit and top-quality workmanship
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy with tape measures, calipers, and other tools
- Stage and organize materials for installation crews, maintaining a safe and clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality benchmarks
Required Skills:
- Previous experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication strongly preferred
- Proficiency operating plasma cutters and sheet metal fabrication machinery
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments
- Physical capacity to lift materials, stand for long periods, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication
- Prior experience with spot welding and sealing
- Familiarity with OSHA safety procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Prior experience in HVAC or sheet metal fabrication (highly preferred)
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexible hours based on workload
