Are you detail-oriented with a passion for logistics and ensuring smooth operations? Our Client, a leader in industrial air solutions, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to manage and streamline our shipping and receiving processes. This role is critical in ensuring our products and supplies are shipped accurately and received efficiently, making you a key part of our Supply Chain team. This is a direct hire position with a starting salary between $16.88 and $22.00 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all inbound and outbound shipments, including sorting, logging, packing, and shipping products.
- Coordinate material flow based on production schedules and department priorities.
- Use the ERP system and freight software to track and manage shipments.
- Audit shipments to ensure accuracy and address any discrepancies.
- Prepare shipping and receiving documents, including those for international shipments, and maintain organized records.
- Schedule daily transportation for shipments and manage shipping materials inventory.
- Report any defective materials or shipment issues and work with the purchasing team to resolve them.
- Conduct regular cycle counting and support material handling tasks under the supervision of the Supply Chain Manager.
- Uphold safety standards in the warehouse, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Experience in the shipping industry or international shipping is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work well in a team and adhere to all safety regulations.
