Join Our Team as a Shipping Clerk in Clemmons, NC!

Our client, a leading manufacturer of pool supplies, is seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to join their growing team. This temp-to-hire opportunity, with a competitive starting pay rate of $21.00 per hour, excellent growth potential, both locally and out of state. Position Overview:
As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely coordination of outbound shipments. You will be responsible for creating, invoicing, and filing bills of lading, setting up export paperwork, and arranging freight pickups. Your ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks will help meet the demands of our client's dynamic shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review & Validate: Ensure the accuracy of the dock Receiving List and validate that all bills of lading are correctly signed and returned.
  • Shipping Coordination: Generate and process bills of lading using PC and AS400-based applications; schedule carrier pickups via phone, fax, or email.
  • Invoicing & Filing: Invoice bills of lading post-pickup and manage the filing process as needed.
  • Parcel Management: Coordinate small parcel shipments using Warehouse BOSS, setting them up for picking and shipping.
  • Reporting: Create and print daily reports using Microsoft Excel and AS400 applications to keep the department informed.
  • Trailer Dispatch: Manage the dispatching of switcher drivers for trailer movements.
  • Export Processing: Handle export documentation, create commercial invoices, and ensure proper distribution and filing of all export paperwork.
  • Additional Duties: Take on extra tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the shipping department.
