Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate slitting machines to cut material to required sizes
- Load, thread, and unload material using hoists and manual handling
- Install and adjust knives, spacers, and shafts for precise cutting
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished products for defects
- Verify measurements, labels, and job specifications
- Record production data accurately using basic computer systems
- Package, stack, and prepare finished rolls for shipment
- Meet daily productivity, quality, and scrap targets
- Communicate equipment issues, quality concerns, or downtime to supervisors
- Follow all safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred
- Ability to read measurements and follow production specifications
- Basic computer skills for production reporting
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Frequent use of hands for tools, controls, and materials
- Work around moving machinery, noise, and hot or humid conditions
