We' re actively seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for our client, a provider of a full range of integrated solutions for aircraft manufacturers around the globe, at their facility in Clemmons, NC! This is a permanent, Direct Hire opportunity to join a company committed to quality, service and meeting the specialized needs of each customer. Our client partners with key manufacturers to produce crucial components, systems and subsystems required to help maintain a competitive and technological advantage. Based in Clemmons, NC, and employing approximately 200 personnel, the Company s key products and services include manufacturing, design and repair of complex hydraulic and hydro-mechanical aircraft components and systems.

The role of Supplier Quality Engineer is to apply knowledge of quality systems to develop and improve the systems and products necessary to ensure that the business attains its annual goals, while meeting Regulatory, Customer, and Industry requirements. They also develop and maintain the systems as necessary to ensure continued improvement and compliance with AS9100/IS09001, Customer, and Regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:

- Maintains reporting and distribution of Quality Metrics to include DPMO (Defects per Million Opportunities), Scrap, Warranty, Rework, and etc
- Processes and leads Customer Returns from receipt to return shipment, to include data entry, technical assistance, root cause investigations, and Failure Analysis Reports (FARs), as necessary
- Prepares and submits Quality information and non-conformance data onto Customer' s portal as required
- Performs direct correspondence with assigned Customers for Quality related requirements and issues. Leads and assists with internal, customer, or supplier audits and visits, including the completion of matrices and summary reports. Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collect data for monitoring targets
- Prepares and presents quality metrics during Management Reviews including: Waranty, Customer Scorecards, and Customer Retums
- Maintains a working knowledge of FAA and industry quality assurance codes and standards
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team
- Supports in the implementation of APQP and PPAP
- Write and follow up on both internal and external corrective actions for root cause analysis; write and revise internal procedures as necessary; assists with gathering and writing (NOEs) Notification of Escapement
- Assists with handling and dispositioning of non-conformance items, both internally and externally, using Material Review Reports (MRRs) and Supplier Material Discrepancy Approval Requests (SMDARs)
- Communicates and works closely with Program Management and communicates with external suppliers as needed concerning customer complaints
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements. Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook

Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering or technical field, or equivalent work-related experience required
- Bachelor' s degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering preferred
- Certification as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or a Quality Auditor (CQA) desired
- At least 2 years' experience in a Quality Assurance role in manufacturing or the aerospace industry
- Will consider a new college grad with experience in a Quality Coop or internship. Must have working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001
- Working knowledge using various tool for RCCA investigations, analysis, and implementation
- Quality experience working directly with customers and suppliers
- Familiarization/experience in the following methodologies is preferred: DMAIC and 8 Disciplines (8D) problem solving, Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control
- Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office
