Job Description
The Resource is hiring a Tempering Glass Operator for our client, a leading glass manufacturer located in Kernersville, NC! This is a permanent, Direct Hire opportunity with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour, and a 1st shift working schedule. The Tempering Glass Operator will check the temperature of the furnace, check the quality of finished products, and measure glass materials. The ideal candidate will have machine operation experience and good attention to detail. Experience with glass is preferred but not required. Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Adjust temperature of furnace as required
- Read/measure glass accurately with tape measure
- Check glass quality and be able to identify basic glass defects
- Place glass in correct Customer positions
- Communicate with the Q.A and furnace operator
- Must possess a high sense of urgency
- Willing to learn
- Acute attention to detail
- Stable work history
