Test Engineer

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Plan qualification testing according to detailed test plans, cases, and procedures for hydraulic valves and solenoids
- Design and set up test rigs and fixtures required for testing
- Define testing criteria, parameters, and acceptance thresholds in collaboration with design and quality teams
- Execute tests according to established plans and procedures
- Conduct performance, endurance, environmental, and safety tests on hydraulic valves and solenoids
- Utilize various testing equipment and instrumentation to collect data
- Record and analyze test data, identifying trends and anomalies.
- Analyze test results to determine compliance with specifications and standards
- Prepare detailed test reports, including data analysis, observations, and recommendations
- Communicate test results to engineering, production, and quality teams
- Identify and troubleshoot issues arising during testing
- Collaborate with design engineers to resolve product performance issues
- Provide feedback and recommendations for design improvements based on test results
- Ensure all testing procedures comply with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the testing area
- Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends
- Propose and implement improvements to testing processes and equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in testing hydraulic systems, valves, and solenoids
- Strong understanding of hydraulic principles and fluid dynamics
- Proficiency with testing equipment and data acquisition systems (DASYLab or LabVIEW a plus)
- Proficient with Creo 7 or other CAD software
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required
- Willingness to work in a lab environment with exposure to hydraulic fluids, extreme temperatures (highs and lows), and high-pressure systems
