Our Client, a family owned, local business since 1929, operating today as a regional company and offering a diverse range of products and services including gas, oil and hospitality is seeking a dynamic and creative Training and Development Specialist to join their Team. The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for the continued leadership, development, and progressive implementation of the company training program within each line of business - performing soft skills training such as onboarding, advertising, etc. This position will require travel during working hours (8: 00am-5: 00pm), throughout the training development process, but will decrease once training is developed and implemented. The ideal candidate will have previous work experience in the retail, restaurant, or gas industries. Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain strong working relationships
- Manage the daily utilization and maintenance of the LMS System
- Will be trained and certified in ServSafe and First Aide and CSP, in order to train others and track
- Maintain and update all divisional training manuals and materials on a regular basis
- Create all new e-learning classes and utilize the system to full potential while aligning with business needs
- Troubleshoot with employees and managers
- Create content, policies and standards for course configuration management, drive continuous process and development improvement
- Maintain all records and reports, providing information as needed
- Conduct regular planning meetings as well as progress updates and communication
- Conduct in-person, off-site, live and recorded training on various topics throughout all business lines
- Work with individuals in all levels of the organization with a responsibility of reporting progress and implementation to senior leadership continuously

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree is preferred, or 2+ years of training and development experience
- Strong organizational skills, and strong computer skills with a focus on PowerPoint
- Excellent multitasking skills with a focus on accuracy
- Strong computer skills especially with focus on power point, articulate software and web-based programs
- Top notch communication skills, both written and oral
- Energetic, ' ready to go' attitude at all times, and will require constant multitasking and strict attention to deadlines as there will be multiple requests and needs at all times
